Revisiting Weight Watchers

So I started doing Weight Watchers again.

I had a lot of success -about 30 pounds worth - a year ago when I last watched my weight, if you will.

Right before moving in December, I decided I was satisfied with where I was. I also felt confident in my ability to maintain a healthy weight and maybe even lose a few pounds, so I cut the extra monthly expense, and ventured out into the wild, wild world of New York food (so. good.). I've eaten some of the best food of my life recently. On my list of favorites? Slice and Dun Well Doughnuts. In other words, local, fresh pizza and vegan donuts. :)

At first, I sort of enjoyed the freedom from tracking everything I ate. I simply ate when I was hungry. This worked. I loved it, and I still do. But I didn't lose any weight doing this. Not a single pound, and I've ultimately decided that to be truly healthy and happy I need to be a bit closer to the middle of the healthy weight range for my age.

So, here we are, 6 months later. Weight Watchers and I are back together after a brief break up. The split was amicable, but we are happily reunited now. We will be together for at 3 months while I shed 10-15 pounds. We are both up for the challenge.

Here's to the salads, fresh fruits, English muffins, oatmeal, veggie sushi, and yogurt I'll be eating! Bottoms up and have a lovely day!
