A little bit of peace/calm

You may have noticed I've been MIA from this blog lately.  :(

Life has been a whirlwind of planning, school work, regular work and decision making in the past few weeks.  I'm doing my best to enjoy every moment, but I've been lacking peace and calm which all people desperately need in order to not, quite literally, lose it.

So, this morning until 1:30 pm, I'm taking a little break from final projects, packing and thinking to blog, take my puppy on a walk, and just generally do things that are relaxing.  Even though this is a very short blip of peace, it's much needed and much appreciated.

So far this morning, Mollie (the puppy) and I took a walk around the apartment complex, sniffed a few things and now she's retreated to a peaceful nap under one of the few remaining pieces of furniture in the apartment. It's the little things. I'm currently enjoying The View in the background, about to eat lunch with Lizzie, then go meet my mom for a Pilates lesson.  My goal for the next few hours is to focus 100% on these activities and not think about packing boxes, cleaning the apartment, finishing my Needs Assessment, etc.  I think I can do it!  Rather, I know I can do it.

In other news...I had a fabulous weekend.  Yes, it was busy, but also rewarding.  I spent time with my grandparents and decorated an LSU Christmas tree for them at their house while watching the Tigers take on Ole Miss.  Grammie said decorating up the tree was the "most beautiful thing anyone has ever done for her."   Talk about melt your heart out!

Sweet Grammie and Mollie Grace relaxing during half time.

Now, I'm off to enjoy the rest of my relaxing morning!  Happy Monday, everyone.  Remember the things that are important to you today. Everything else seems small in comparison.
